Purpose of Children's Counseling:
The Heights provides counseling services to support children who may be experiencing stress due to family changes. Counseling is designed to help children express feelings, build coping skills, and strengthen overall well-being.

Confidentiality:
What your child shares in counseling is private. Counselors will not share details with parents/guardians without the child’s permission, except as required by law. By law, counselors must report information if:

  • A child is at risk of harm to themselves or others,

  • Abuse or neglect is suspected,

  • A court orders disclosure.

Parental Involvement:
Parents/guardians are important partners in the counseling process. While details of sessions remain private to respect the child’s trust, general progress and recommendations may be shared with parents/guardians.

* Counseling is not a guarantee of specific outcomes but is intended to promote growth and support.
